Guest27/03/2009 at 2:43 amI took my name from a lady I greatly admire. Because the “other” side (femme) of my personality, is a direct opposite to my Alpha male persona.
I was surprised at the gentle, femme side and decided to look for a person who was a direct contrast to myself as a male….
Barbara was a quite and very gentle person, very feminine and very tolerant to others. I had always admired those qualities and so, I took up her name and traites…hmmm…suprised myself indeed as I really like the transition. Its nice to be kind and gentle for once in my life. -

I came up with my femme name fairly easily really-Lee is a shortened version of my male name and James is my middle name.Nothing beats simplicity sometimes!

Guest03/06/2010 at 10:42 pmwe were in bed last night talking and the subject got on to how i picked my fem name ” lauren ” well the more prominent letters are L and R which are the initials of my name and surname.
Asked as to if i would pick a middle name which is colin (yep dont like it ) i think my preference would be caitlin simular to colin but sounds better.
Would love to know how the other girls came to pick the names they have and if they chose a middle name what would it be and why.cya Lauren xx

Guest04/06/2010 at 2:16 pmI first thought my femme name would be Jenny, as that is what my mother said I would have been called if born female. When applying for my first hotmail account, (many years ago), I was frustrated by the plethora of Jenny’s and, (after a frustrating hour or two), I gave up and settled for Julie- Marie. A pitiful reason for giving up my preferred name but it has stuck and now I’m more than happy with it.
Julie

Guest05/06/2010 at 1:19 amMy favorite name in the whole world i used when naming my child. The name being a girls name then having a boy made confusion.
Being stubborn as i am i just re spelt it, like Peta to Peter type thing. So that left me having to think up a newy.
So Madeline came from Maddy which is sounding alike to my male shortened name of the full version that mostly my gay friends called me by.
A bit of trivia for those inquisitive souls, but seriously if you want to know just ask me, LOl, im no mystery.

Your eyesight reading yellow 2pt text on white must be a lot better than mine if you are confident enough to sue!
Sue IBM if you want!

Like Cynthia and Elle, my name was suggested by my SO (my wife). For whatever reason, we both really liked the name and it stuck from the moment it was suggested.
My wife suggested the name during the aftermath of her having stumbled across the extent of my feminine interests. I was fortunate in that I realized straight away that I had been “sprung” – and it was apparent that 15 years of silence over the matter was a doomed policy.
So, I explained and we talked, and talked (talking is good!). She quickly realised that I was telling the truth, did some homework, and within a couple of days was getting her head around all this stuff.
However, whlie she was contemplating all that I had told her I really thought that I was for the high-jump. But when she suggested a name that hit the spot I realised that she really understood and that we could all move on together.

Guest06/06/2010 at 9:57 amMy name is my name, it is my 3rd name or confirmation name. It is the only name I have ever chosen. I am not sure that I look like a Fran, but too many people know me as Fran or Franny (Don’t forget the r
).
If I go fulltime then I may go by Marrisa or something similar. I have been told by a psychiarist to not pick a name that may be confused with a male name like Toni or Peta.

Guest19/07/2010 at 7:23 amI liked the sound of Laura. It sounded slightly sensual or movie star like to me. And I also picked something a long way from my real name.
