    Hi Martina.

Waiting to hear back from Emma. She was trying to negotiate a better deal as their first offer was only equal to what was available on their website less the 10% they offered if you joined their eClub.

There will be cheaper deals around if you pay up front with no refund, particularly if you are a Frequent Flyer member.

I will post here as soon as I hear something and send an email to all ticket holder plus have it added to our webpage.

    See you there, hugs Fay

    Hi Donna and Liz.

It appears that you have not read the post “Put this in your diaries” where it was announced that a group of us, “The Magic Circle Club”, are arranging an alternate / replacement event for TransFormal in October at the Rendezvous Hotel in Melbourne,

    It is called TransActShon.

Check out the post. Plans are well in advance, the venue has been secured, deposit paid, band arranged, make up artists and photographer booked and tickets are on sale now and selling fast for the Friday and Saturday nights.

We will have a website up and running by next weekend and currently have a Facebook page.

Tickets are available now at trybooking.com/447027 and include free beer and wine.

Hope to see you all there.
    Hugs Fay

Hi Girls. It’s getting exciting. Only 31 days until TransActShon tickets go on sale. Don’t forget to get in early to secure a good table with your friends.
Just to clarify things, This event is entirely NOT FOR PROFIT. Any surplus funds will be directed to prizes and give aways with perhaps a little put aside for the deposit on next years venue.
Below is a poster that you can distribute to your friends but please do not display or post publicly at this stage.

Had a query from an ACT couple, does anyone know if there are any cabins left in the same area?

Emma, being an engineer also I did exactly the same but with canary seed as it is a little more slippery. Double layer, knotted nipples, oh the memories, or should that be mamories!!

Emma I can totally relate and have experienced the droopy stay ups. Or should that be fall downs! Also totally agree that target brand are the most efficient at staying up.

    Dear Emma.

    1. What is the weirdest thing you have seen in someone else’s home?
    2. What is the weirdest thing you have in your home?

    Caroline.
Airfix, Revell and later Tamiya kits were a favorite of mine too. Had many, many Airfix mainly 1/72nd, Revell USS Missouri and the Cutty Sark were probably my largest projects. Still have dozens unmade in their boxes…one day!
Another favorite of mine was the A4 Skyhawk as I worked on these for many years. Have several in all scales.
The things we girls get into!

. BAYKO BUILDING SETS These were sets of parts to construct buildings on a green plastic base by inserting metal rods then sliding tiles of bricks, windows, doors and architectural shapes between the rods to form houses and other buildings. I used to spend hours playing with these in the 50’s.

. MECCANO Again a construction toy of metal strips, sheets, wheels and pulleys that you could assemble working and moving models.

. HORNBY 20 volt, 3 rail, O gauge train set. Used to have a lead fuse wire that burnt out whenever a train shorted out the rails when derailing. Hours of fun that lead to my passion for model trains.

. CLASSIC COMICS Comics of the literary classics such as “”Tale of two Cities”, “Moby Dick”, “Robin Hood”, “The Three Musketeers”, “Gulliver’s Travels” and of course some of the Shakespearean titles that were great to brush up on before English exams.

. TV SHOWS such as 77 Sunset Strip, Have Gun Will Travel, Bonanza, The Rifleman, Perry Mason as so on. Also some of the old cartoons Mighty Mouse and Popeye come to mind. Probably very politically incorrect these days and would be unable to be shown.

. DRESS UPS Then of course there was the other game with my 2 sisters but most of us know about that one.

    Hi all.

Update on my return flight from Adelaide. Similar experience as my SYD – ADL flight earlier in the week. Presented with my short blonde wig, long sleeve white jumper, tailored black jacket, knee length black pencil skirt, black shiny tights and 4″ black chunky heeled ankle boots.
Electronic check in and bag drop obviously presented no problem. Security went well without having to take off my boots this time. As I approached the boarding gate the ground attendant said to me “you look very nice”. She then scanned my Frequent Flyer card , printed out the boarding pass, read the name and said “Have a lovely flight Ms St…..”.
Once seated in the emergency exit row window seat the senior flight attendant gave us the special evacuation briefing and asked each of us if we had any problems or questions to which I replied “no problem” (I would have been the only person on board that has actually operated the real over-wing exits anyway. As an aircraft engineer that’s how we often access the upper wing surface.)
The rest of the flight was pretty much as normal except for my two elderly (80s) male lawn bowlers sitting next to me who avoided all eye, and minimal verbal, contact for the entire flight.
So my lovelies, flying with Australia’s premier airline (The one with the big white rat on the fin.) dressed is not a problem and it gave me a very rewarding experience.
Looking forward to many more flights in the future.
    Hugs,
    Fay.
