    Hi all.

Update on my return flight from Adelaide. Similar experience as my SYD – ADL flight earlier in the week. Presented with my short blonde wig, long sleeve white jumper, tailored black jacket, knee length black pencil skirt, black shiny tights and 4″ black chunky heeled ankle boots.
Electronic check in and bag drop obviously presented no problem. Security went well without having to take off my boots this time. As I approached the boarding gate the ground attendant said to me “you look very nice”. She then scanned my Frequent Flyer card , printed out the boarding pass, read the name and said “Have a lovely flight Ms St…..”.
Once seated in the emergency exit row window seat the senior flight attendant gave us the special evacuation briefing and asked each of us if we had any problems or questions to which I replied “no problem” (I would have been the only person on board that has actually operated the real over-wing exits anyway. As an aircraft engineer that’s how we often access the upper wing surface.)
The rest of the flight was pretty much as normal except for my two elderly (80s) male lawn bowlers sitting next to me who avoided all eye, and minimal verbal, contact for the entire flight.
So my lovelies, flying with Australia’s premier airline (The one with the big white rat on the fin.) dressed is not a problem and it gave me a very rewarding experience.
Looking forward to many more flights in the future.
    Hugs,
    Fay.

    Hi All.
Just a quick update on my adventure in Adelaide. I had a fantastic flight down with Qantas. Could not have been treated with more respect or courtesy.
First hurdle was airport security where I had to take my heels off after setting off the metal scanners. No problem as I was only one of many ladies that had to do the same.
Boarding went well, presented my frequent Flyer card at the gate, flight attendant scanned the card, checked the name, looked up and without a blink said “welcome aboard Ms St*****”
Once onboard I was seated between two ladies, with whom I chatted with amicably during the flight, and the Flight Attendents kept referring to us at “the three ladies”.
Any fears I had about flying as Fay have been completely allayed. It was a wonderful enlightening experience that I will remember forever.
I will report further in more detail with an update on the return flight when I return on the weekend.
I am having a wonderful experience here in Adelaide with Sharon, she has taught me so much and made me so welcomed. Photos will follow….

    Hugs for now,

    Fay

All good so long as you don’t try rocking the boat. Oh and if I pick up a nice rich lesbian lady you’re sleeping on the games deck!
Being of engineering background, I suggest we try to book rooms near the centre of the ship.

    What a fantastic fun weekend.

Great location, terrific accommodation, magnificent company and a bucket load of wine thrown in as well. Not to mention chocolate, cheese, schnapps and vodka.
Shana’s ‘heritage’ contributed to the house on Hermitage Road being a little evasive to locate, but all worked out well in the end.

Friday night saw our group of Damsels partaking of food and wine at a local restaurant which was a first time public experience for one of our group. After a fulfilling meal and a few drinks around a fire pit we all retired reasonably early anticipating a BIG day on the Saturday.

Our 20 seater bus arrived about 10:30 with two rather surprised passengers already on board. We then proceeded to pick up the remaining pax and as they boarded it was fun to watch their faces as they noticed the TgR girls were not quite what they first appeared to be. That turned out OK as the hours and vineyards passed and with the exception of one middle aged stuffy gent the others became quite friendly and one of the four female Uni students even said they were envious of Fay’s 4″ heel lace up boots.

We stopped for lunch at a very busy eatery where we sat around a large table. Shana sat next to the stuffy guy and he managed to finish his meal without once making eye contact with any of us. I think he may be trans but still in the closet and didn’t want to give himself away to his wife!

The day finished about 5:30 P.M. and the bedraggled 7 freshened up and then cooked up a BBQ with the provisions that Shana had procured. The night finished with a cosy discussion on all things trans with the usual plot playing out. Started young – secret dressing – purging – tried to be alpha male – relapse – purging – then give in to that irresistible urge and now loving it. Oh did I mention there was more wine?

The next morning Theresa cooked everyone breakfast of bacon and eggs before we cleaned up and dissolved into the country side. A few of us tried to have lunch at Wollombi Hotel but as soon as we saw all the big, black, hairy, leather clad bikies I insisted that we retire to fight another day and we proceeded to Bellbird Hotel and had a lovely meal before parting and heading home.

We all had a really great weekend and we forged solid friendships with sisters in kind that will stand the test of time.

Looking forward to another adventure soon, Perhaps a short cruise as Shana has suggested.

    Hugs to all,

    Fay

Actually I’m a bit off topic because I will be traveling with Qantas!

Sorry Adrian, I’ll book Virgin next time. But I do like the big white rat better.

    Hugs to all,

    Fay

[Adrian: No problem – I don’t have shares in Virgin. I’ve changed the thread title to embrace all carriers. And to get rid of that annoying (to some) “en-femme” adjective

What a great experience and well told. I am traveling from Sydney to Adelaide in September and have decided that there will be NO male attire whatsoever on my person or in my luggage. (other than a razor in my ‘wet’ pack).

Your experience has given me confidence and I am really looking forward to my first flight presenting as Fay.

I will report back after my trip, hopefully with positive experiences.

    Fay.

    Hi Caroline.
Had a look at their web page the other night. Looks like a really interesting venue. Reminded me of the “Hero” at the rocks back in the 60s and 70s when I was young and fancy free! Many a bridge climb started out from there late on Friday nights. No OH&S and harnesses in those days. Just had to dodge the boys in blue on the way down.
Barring a local volcanic event or tsunami I’ll be there.
    Hugs.

    Emma.
    Sid-en-ey, Sid-en-ey, Sid-en-ey.

Come to Sydney Emma, we need you and would love to have you here. We need someone with your vivacious personality to “drag” all the small splinter groups together. There is a whole suburb that is accepting of our kind…Newtown.
The Imperial Hotel has reopened after a major renovation and every establishment on King Street loves us.
Unfortunately our (TgR) regular ‘last Friday of the month’ cafe venue has just closed but we are on the hunt for a replacement.
I can even drag (there’s that word again) Mel up from Dapto for some activities. Sorry not Dapto, Horsley darling, Horsley)
I’ll be down your way the first week in September, Will mention it to my host and we maybe able to meet up and discuss further.
    Big hugs,
    Fay

    Hi Rosemary.
I know that Tanya and David were selling up and moving to a new location so maybe they are in that process at the moment. I’m sure that Tanya will answer your email as soon as she is able.

    Lately Girl.
You need to go to the Priceline site and check which outlets provide the service.
i.e. In the shire only sutherland, Menai and Engadine provide the service.

    Cheers
    Fay.

    Hi Shana.
Let me know if you would like a hand with catering the Barbie. I could pick up some salads etc. on the way up.
What’s the plans regarding hooking up with who you share with? I’m not fussy so long as they don’t snore. I don’t….so far as I know….but then again I would be asleep and wouldn’t hear myself would I????
Any advice from you locals as to any special items that we should bring?
Looking forward to a great weekend of meeting and socialising with other like minded folk.
    Cheers,
    Fay
