I will be there again this year as I was last riding up the front with Dykes on Bikes. I have been asked to be a ride leader this year so will be much fun.

Are there any details that I can find about this event. Seeing as I am not on facebook and that seems to be the only source of info

Somewhere I Belong by Linkin Park
    Boys and Girls by Blur
True Trans Soul Rebel by Against Me

I have listened to all available.

I was deeply moved by the latest one (I think) where the mum is talking about when to explain to her daughter that becoming a mum for her is a very different prospect. I think it is something that I am glad that I had my children before I transitioned, though it did mean a long time of not understanding why I couldn’t be happy.

    “How to be a Girl”

Is the title of the podcast that the original topic related too. I notice the discussion has gone away from that greatly. I have listened to all the available podcasts and find them interesting and also alarming with the current status in some US states. I also feel there is little for me to learn from this apart from an admiration for the mother of this young girl.

I used to very concerned with passing. It was the sole thought I would have before leaving the house. Now as I am more comfortable with who I am I have realised that passing isn’t on my radar anymore. I am happy being me and will walk down to my local IGA with my daggie skirt and no make up because I need some milk for my tea.

  • I go to the Taylor Square Clinic and see Dr Pell. She is great and is happy to see me about any general medical needs. Though I have now been full time for a while and go see my local medical centre. Dr Pell was great with both my medical transition and also general medical needs

  • My request would be to make it easier to change your name on various records without having to confirm out loud in front of people yes that (male name) is really me
