Will there be a Zoom chat this evening at 8;00pm, and if so, what is the password for it?
-
Couldn’t post my setup on Zoom so I have to post it here in the thread.
edit: fix typo
Second edit: I don’t think anyone got an official photo for this evening.
-
I’m actually wondering, after the COVID-19 dramas have died down, could the Zoom meetings remain as a regular event?
Glebe Night at the Friend in Hand, then 2 weeks later online on Zoom? -
Looking forwards to this evening’s chat.

Martina, the dimensions in pixels of an image is only part of how to reduce a file to under 200kb.
The other part is image file compression.
A typical .JPG image from my cellphone’s camera is 4608×3456, and is somewhere between 8.0 to 9.5Mb
Directly resaving the photo using 50% .JPG compression, a 9.38Mb .JPG becomes 1.16Mb
Resizing the .JPG to 1920×1440, and then saving the resized image with 50% JPG compression, the 9.38Mb file comes in at 181kb. -
I did a bit of hunting for an online copy of the document.
Found a link to aPDF of the document, on the US news site, NPR.NPR page – Vatican Issues Document During Pride Month Denying Concept Of Gender Identity
The NPR page has a link to another site with a PDF of the documentHope this helps, Fran

It is the song “Reflection” from the movie ‘Mulan’. In the song, Mulan expresses the way she feels about wanting to show the world who she really is instead of pretending to be who she is not, but is afraid to disappoint her family by doing so.
Another Disney song that has become a trans anthem is Idina Menzel – Let It Go, from Frozen.
Without realising it, Disney created a song that flawlessly describes coming out.A track from the 1990s, not yet mentioned is Suzanne Vega – As Girls Go, from her 99.9F° album.

I’d be up for doing the survey again.
There’s some minor bugfixing that needs attending to with the 2011 questions before re-using them though.Q4A change from
How does your current partner relate to your gender diversity?
to
If you have a partner, how does your current partner relate to your gender diversity?Q4B, change from
How well are the needs of your partner being addressed?
to
If you have a partner, how well are the needs of your partner being addressed?Q20A
Which of the following organisations/groups are you currently involved with, or have been involved in
Please choose the appropriate response for each item:
Because the question requires an answer for all the groups listed, it is missing a response column for ‘Have never been involved in’Jenifur Charne

Carol wrote:I give up. I’ve been stalling replying to this thread because I’ve been trying to pull my weight back down but here’s the honest truth. 5’10” (178cm), shoe size 10/11 with a need for wide fitting in a 10, top/dress 18/20 or XL/XXL, bottom 14/16. Weight 90 kg and working on it.
Thanks VERY much for your post, Carol. I have been avoiding this thread for very similar reasons, and your post gave me the push to add my reply to this thread.
Height: about 175cm
Weight: about 100Kg, and trying to lose weight.
Size depends on label and style, but 20/22/XXL is what I usually look for.Carol wrote:In summary I can buy in normal women’s stores eg Rockmans but would find a bigger range if I could just drop a few more kilos. As far as buying ‘normal’ sizes, I wish.
The problem I hit isn’t the dress size of garments. Due to my, apparently below average, height it’s the length. Go to Autograph to buy a pair of jeans, I look for an overall length of about 95cm. The shortest overall length they currently have in jeans is 105cm. And I hit the same problem for skirts and dresses.Jenifur Charne

Have you tried doing a Google images search on the following for ideas, Melissa.
“womens fashion” 1920s
It comes up with a lot of stuff that isn’t dancehall flappers.Jenifur Charne

Whilst your last sets of modifications to the immediately previous version of the TgR chatroom had easy access to private chats made exceedingly difficult, in the original install of that version of the chatroom, easy access to private chat was viable. The modifications made extra rooms and private chats harder and more difficult.
In the version of the chatroom before that, the one which was used before the rename of Tranny Radio to TgR, being in multiple private chats and group chatrooms at the same time was utterly effortless.
In short, each version of, and modification to, the chatrooms since the the rename of Tranny Radio to TgR has reduced functionality.
In terms of your private chat invite, at the time you started trying to do it, I had little ability to respond, as apart from the 5 or so minutes I needed to type up my reply, I was on the phone with amander from Tasmania. By the time your private chat window popup came up, I was ready to close down my computer for the night.

Whilst the new webpage hover overlay based chatroom looks good, being restricted in accessing the main chatroom is not good at all.
With the old chatrooms on the previous versions of TgR, I could log into the chatroom, any time of the day, any day of the week, without needing to wait for a site admin or Moderator to be online to unlock the main chatroom for me.
With the new system, users have to hang around and wait for a site admin or Moderator to show up just so they can access the main chatroom. This aspect of the new system is a You Fail.
Why is it a You Fail? Because this new system actively prevents easy access by all members of TgR to the main chatroom.

The apostrophe code bug is still present in profiles.
Still present in mine, Fiona from Victoria, and very likely others. Some more I’ve found with the bug, just by randomly looking at Member Profiles on the new site:
