A minor bug has turned up in the profiles on the new site.
Apostrophes are showing up as the web code for the apostrophe character.

    remove spaces
    & # 3 9 ;

This error does not seem to be showing up in the blogs on the new site.
This error is not showing up in the profiles on the current site.

edit: the forum is force converting the web code into the actual character, and refuses to display the web code.

Turned up a minor bug in the new chat overlay.
It doesn’t like the IRC style actions.

In the old chatrooms, if I typed
    /me does something

what would show up in the chatroom is
    * JeniSkunk does something…

In the new chat overlay, what shows up in the chat is
    /me does something

Just noticed the new ‘Gender’ field in the profiles on the new site.

Is it possible to add the members map over to the new site?

The new site looks great, and I’m looking forwards to seeing it go live.

Amanda, logging in to the new site caught me out, as I was accustomed to logging in with my registration email address, rather than my user name.

I see where the chat overlay is now. :)

With the ‘New Posts Since Last Visit’ filter in the Forums, where is the ‘Mark Posts As Read’ button?

I’ll give the new site a go on my Android tablet, later, see how it fares on mobile devices.

Another point of not fun, about the warmer months, is perspiration behind your breasforms.
With winter, this becomes less of an issue since it’s colder, so you’re less likely to overheat and perspire, and you don’t risk winding up with a line of perspiration dampness showing on your clothes below your bustline.

The sensible solve is to have more than one pair of forms, so you’ll always have the right amount of projection to properly fill out the clothes.
You’ll need to look at the BFS site to figure out which size forms would suit the fashions you wear.

    My own situation:
    I’m 104Kg, size 20.
After years of being on HRT I finished up with a B cup bustline.
However, most plus size women’s clothing is cut for a C cup at minimum, so I needed to buy a set of forms that would at least give me a C cup so that most clothes fitted right.
Unfortunately, some fashions in my size are cut for a D cup or larger, so I had to get a second pair of forms.

    Which forms I bought:
C cup forms – Size 7 Transform Classic II Super Soft. Current equivalent is the BFS US Gold Seal Classic 2. BFS AU does not stock this model of Gold Seal forms.
D cup forms – Size 8 Transform Premier Classic.

I am guessing here, but I think part of Petra’s concern is dealing with the changing rooms after going swimming.

Suzzanne, Amanda is absolutely right about how we are accepted without issue when we attend TransFormal. Even the local Coles staff don’t look twice when we go shopping.

One of Caty’s great weaknesses is “upscale lingerie”, (bought at factory outlet prices, she hastens to add).

If Caty ever has the misfortune to “get sprung”, whilst her reaction would be very bad, would it be a/. a little better ‘cos she admired my tastes in lingerie or b/. even more horrified at the prices she thinks I would have paid….?? (I doubt if the factory outlet line would cut it al all!!!). Regrettably, I fear the latter.

If you kept the receipts, how could she validly complain about the prices, when you could prove you purchased from a factory outlet store and did actually pay the substantially cheaper factory outlet prices?

They have some GREAT looking stuff in the plus sizes as well!
What’s annoying is that I’d have nowhere to wear any of the dresses they have.

I gave my first, and only, wig to another CD I knew, a year or so after I began transitioning, as by then my hair was too long to be able to wear the wig. No idea if its still in one piece or if it’s met its manufacturer.

I find myself in agreement with the person that you live with, Pamela.
There should be some clearly labeled buttons on the front of such a monitor, so the user would at least be able to see which button to press to call up the settings menu.

I also understand your annoyance at someone who has gotten a new electronic device, and has not bothered to put the effort into reading the quick start guide and the manual first, to read and learn which buttons do what.

Simple answer “Yes” – there will be a TransFormal in 2014.

TransFormal does have a web site – which should be your primary reference.
    http://www.trannytix.com/transformal
But all that is there at the moment is a date!

From earlier in this thread, the date for TransFormal 2014 is

    Quote:
    Did I mention when?
I’ve signed the contract for the weekend 16th -18th May 2014.
Put the date in your diary!!

I’ve now got my TF2014 ticket, accom, and airfare fully saved for. Now I can start salting away spending money for the trip :) , and start my saving towards TF 2015 ;) .
I’m really looking forwards to the discussions and workshops. Those have become my favourite events over the course of the weekend.
It will be great to catch up with folks I met at the past 2 TFs, and meet more new people.

    Quote:
Sometime in the last few months the old web site had fallen over. Maybe it couldn’t cope with the post-TransFormal lull in traffic.
I’ve given it a hug and a tickle – and it does appear to be on its feet again.
But it is getting a bit old – 5 years old to be exact – and maybe it will need a rewrite before we go live for TransFormal 2014.

I just had a look at the site.
One of the questions on the FAQ page still refers to TF 2010.
The links on the main page for the Formal Dinner, The Weekend, and Accommodation, are currently HTTP 404 errors
All the links in the sidebar are still currently valid though.

Here’s hoping for another brilliant TransFormal in 2014!
