Thanks Josephine
Thanks for your words. I can imagine that lots of people are torn between the absolute atrocity of what happened and how their safety in public is and has been. Sometimes it takes the worst in us humans to bring out the best – I sincerely wish it was not so. It is hard to not over-react to something like this with a vengeance. I am doubly committed to support anyone who is being picked on for their sexuality or any other diversity. What kind of person needs to get a f..ing machine gun to solve any problem? I am appalled by that and want to help in any way to fix this.Juliette

Great point of view. This is what I have been on about all along. Rather than having to be this idealised type of women that few ever get to anyway, I want to be able to wear anything at any time. Like wearing a pair of stiletto boots with jeans and tshirt or big earrings or a little black dress if the mood takes me. In summer I find wearing a wig and full makeup too hot so why must I wear a wig to “pass”.

Member24/04/2016 at 1:20 pm in reply to: an interesting insight into privilege ( and passing?)Agree with both of you. It is hard not to associate the whole crapdashian world with the perfectly timed release of Caitlyn to the world after the million dollar surgery fashion fix and blah blah blah …….
A part of me says great as it bulldozes the way for trans to be viewed as part of life but another part of me thinks that I wish I had a K funded entourage to make me look OK and be in the spotlight and able to live my life out job free with all that femininity crashing into me. Back to reality …..
Caitlyn is stupid but no more than the rest of the crapdashian clan.Juliette

Hi Donna
I don’t think anyone is saying it is wrong. As an end it should not be a binary thing where you drown if you don’t make it ashore. You should not have to concentrate on being “invisible” to make it all work… Who cares if at drinks after work that you are enjoying yourself dressed nicely and someone notices that you might be a man in that nice LBD and heels – because there is a hint of beard shadow. Viva la revolution…. bring it on …

Yes well said Christina. Value judgement is what plays on a lot of folks minds and once you name something it exists. In my case I love to do all the dressing make up, but it is to be me not to pass. That’s me – just another woman, who wants to feel special / wear something special and look their best.

Member08/04/2016 at 1:07 pm in reply to: “Dressing up”, or “getting dressed”- A reflection!!Great idea – we should have significant events that require enough of us to get into our LBDs – The LBD nights – whatever the occasion be it opera or rock gig whatever – we should have a LBD night. Often… Juliette

I agree with the exposure. Just wish Louis Theroux was a tad more intelligent. But exposure is good. Juleitte

i am glad we live in mostly enlightened times. Wow she could have been blackmailed and no one would have known. Shows that we still have a way to go when some evil sh!t bag thinks that they can black mail someone who is TG. Make no mistake – we are on the cusp of something good and we all should stand up to bullying and blackmail. It is a tough call but we can do it. I look forward to the time when Savannah is not a story and it just happens when it needs to happen. Luvs and hugs Juliette

They are more dangerous than sharia because they have the appearance of respectability.
I hope that the over reach thing is correct. We aussies can be a blase bunch at times when it comes to our freedom. We must not lose the momentum we have now with LGBT. If it saves one kid from being bullied or worse then it is worth it.
