I read Fiona Bishops’ full statement and found it so logical and in no way ‘left wing’.
I have consulted with her many times over the past few years about my own condition and she does come across this way as well.
I think this Bill is clearly uninformed and wide of the mark as to what the medical fraternity are trying to achieve here with young transgender people. Hopefully this Bill will be defeated.

I think I will have one now. Here is to you and hope to catch up for a game and a glass sometime on the other side

I thought the Isolation might keep me away from golf but the Queensland Chief Medical Officer deemed it exercise so I played this morning with quite a few restrictions of course but at least got out of the house. Alas no glass of chardy after.
Are you, Caroline still playing? -
Spicers Balfour Hotel in New Farm is a great place to stay. A boutique hotel not the cheapest but nice and in a lovely location. If you are in Brisbane and would like to catch up for a drink or even dinner I would be open to that.

I am 172 cm (5 ft 7 in) and when I was only living as a boy I thought I was too short. When I now present as a woman I am very happy to be this vertical height. I can wear heels or not – it is my horizontal height that is more concerning 😆

Are you referring to Palace Cinema James Street?

I would recommend Dr Fiona Bishop, Holdsworth House 116 Robertson St, Fortitude Valley 07) 3894 0794
She seems to me to be the expert in Trans Gender issues in Brisbane. I have had a number of consultations with her over the past 2 years and found her to be very approachable, helpful and knowledgeable.

Thanks so much for your story Emma,
I have been experiencing a number of my own difficult issues recently and have been struggling to manage them.
Your GP is a very wise person and his question ‘What, when you do it, puts a smile on your face and is a simple pleasure?’, has allowed me to realise there are those simple pleasures in my life as well as the more difficult issues. It is amazing how ones outlook on life can change if you smile (….and the world smiles with you) – I think there is an old song there somewhere?

Thank you and well done Jessica!
Good to see you have taken another giant step in getting out and about en femme. You can expect the same or better treatment if you go QANTAS. I have found they are both very aware of their obligations to treat all passengers equally. -
Elsa,
The way you have gone about writing a journal from this perspective is wonderful! It gives me something to think about as well.
Thanks -
I had IPL treatment on my chest about 2 years ago. There were 6 sessions and as others have said there is some pain (no pain no gain!). The result was almost no dark hairs on a lightly hairy chest. Some grey hairs continue and a few dark ones; but once a week with a bit of a razor these are kept in check now. So I am very happy with this result.
Late last year I decided to do IPL on my face. I had enough of trying to use beard concealer in the morning, then normal concealer, powder, then foundation, then more powder. This treatment would last from early morning to only late afternoon and then a shadow would appear – not a great look when you are still out and about.
I had 6 sessions initially each about 2 week apart. Before this my beard was most noticeable on my top lip and around the chin i.e., the darker hairs. I did have quite a few grey hairs as well. It was somewhat more painful than the chest but the same as above you just have to grin and bear it thinking of how good it will be when all over!
After this initial treatment most of the dark hairs were gone and I no longer needed to use beard concealer. The growth of the remaining dark hairs reduced and the density also reduced. I still have a level of grey hairs but even they seem to have reduced in rate of growth.I decided to do a second course of 6 sessions. I have 3 more to go and based on the current regrowth and hair darkness I hope that I will no longer have to worry about the 5 o’clock shadow again. I think I should be able to use makeup just like any other female i.e., apply as much as I want depending on the occasion. A lighter application for day and maybe more heavy for night.
Hope this helps other ladies

Hi Nikki
Have you any more photos of you and perhaps some more info about you.
If you look at my bio you will see a lot more about me so I would like to have the same about you first if we were going to catch up.
Cheers
