Thanks for sharing that perspective. This quote I found recently got me thinking along the same lines. See attached.

Hi All
I had an absolutely fantastic time at TransActShon. Loved the hotel, the location, and all the great people that I reconnected with and got to know better. It was equally wonderful to see and meet new people and some of their unique partners. And unique in the sense that they are so supportive. The winery tour with Freddi (Cath) was the icing on the cake although how I ended up consuming copious and generous portions of no less than eight types of gin from a boutique distillery on a wine tasting trip was novel. Not that I am complaining. It all went down a treat other than my response to it the following day. But on that day I bought one of my outfits for Katoomba 2020. Cannot wait for that to occur. Anyhow thanks so much to Fay, Emma, Sherrin, Tanya, the Trucc team, the entertainers and all the other great folk who put the time and effort into making this event so successful for the participants.
Hugs to all.

Hi Ladies
I am so looking forward to the TransActShon event and catching up with all the wonderful Ladies I met at Transformal the previous and last two years of that unique, outstanding and never to be forgotten gathering. I hope the event is well attended and as many girls as possible can support it. Now the challenge for me is to drop the dress size I gained since last year. Lol. And that’s the positive side of our disposition, at least for me, as I tend to be more conscious of what I can fit into. And I am deeply appreciative to the organisers of TransActShon and those who conceived of it.
Hugs to all

Hi Emma
Thank you for that wonderful, timely and inspirational share. It gives me hope that my only son will be finally liberated from a three year addiction to opiates. I understand all of your emotions only too well. It was a very proud day for me when my only kid swore an oath to Queen and Country and with one raised hand and another on the Australian flag he was enlisted into the Royal Australian Regiment. I witnessed his marchout parade after a duelling training period at Kapooka and then advanced training at which he excelled at Singleton. He returned home three years ago a completely broken and drug addicted young man full of fear and anxiety. I won’t go into the specific causes or genesis of his particular issue or share anything beyond this narrative other than to say I have helped him to get on a supervised withdrawal program and his personality and sense of worth is slowly returning. He is back living with me now (hence my lack of posts or interaction on TGR of late) and whilst this poses some real personal challenges given my disposition and inclinations I can better mentor him and supervise his recovery. As the son of professional parents I never thought he would ever be challenged with an addiction but as we all know drugs effect a wide spectrum of the community.
Anyhow I thought I would share this Emma only insofar as your experience and your willingness to talk about it makes me remember that we are not alone and that there is a path of recovery for both progeny and parent.
Having been fortunate now to meet you several times: I and doubtless many others, can attest to your caring nature, a facility with candid expression that is truly a blessing, and a personality that is a positive influence on all of us.
Thank you again for your uplifting story.
Hugs to you and all.
(And hope to see you at Transactshon)Marian

Hi Ladies
For those of you (like me) who may have questions about these types of products I found this great YouTube video which is a user review of breast plates, the fitting of them and the type of clothing etc to conceal the seams.
Well worth the viewing time.

Hi Ladies
Whilst we are on the subject of books, (no we wern’t !- adrian) the best one I have read recently is the story of the life of Dr Richard Novic an American Pyschiatrist entitled “Alice in Genderland”. Doubtless many of you will have already read it. I found it a totally compelling and absorbing read about Richard’s (Alice) personal life and journey as a cross dresser in which she explored the full spectrum of our disposition emotionally, physically and sexually.

I am sure that all the fine inhabitants of Hobart will welcome the sightings soon to come of a genuine Tasmanian Tiger. Things will definitely be on the improve down there when Emma struts her stuff in the confident, self sssured and ebullient manner that is her character. And one we have all come to love and admire. All the best for your move Emma. Hugs Marian

Hi Emma
I hope you are moving to Perth! Or at least considering it. We could do with your delightfully mischievous presence over here. And I am sure it would result in a lot of closets being used for the purpose of hanging clothes rather than hiding in them. I agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly and there are a lot more of us out and about these days. And especially so once the networking potential of dedicated Facebook sites are more fully utilised. As for the Perth scene it is definitely improving by my observation and great folk like Karron and Leece on the Trans in WA network are starting to build up some momentum to get the like minded together more often. But you need to find within yourself the courage and the commitment to seek out those of our persuasion, and benefit, as I have done, from the advice and friendship of those only too willing to share it and provide it. And in this I am always happy to meetup with Perth based transwomen for a chat at mutually convenient times.

I am so glad to hear you have no intention to change what are truly delightful character attributes; and a disposition some of us can only ever aspire to. We love you just the way you are: and for what and who you are. You bring a lot of much needed joy to us and if you intend to further accentuate that wonderful and unique style of yours then all I can say is: bring it on!

Appreciate the tip Elsa. I purchased a set of these magnetic lashes early last month and like Glenda had no end of trouble trying to put them on: and so much so that I was going to throw them away. I will try again using the technique you have recommended. Thank you again for the post.

Hi Melissa
Although it is a manufactured solution, the Lingerie store in Katoomba called AbraKadaBras was selling a very comfortable padded panty to a number of the girls at TF last year. They were available in skin tone and also in black. Happy to supply further details and images if required. They were not very expensive and the lady who runs the store is very accommodating to our particular needs. I have not figured out how to attach an image on to the “reply” function as yet otherwise I would post it with this message.

Thanks for your post Rosemary. I guess that the general level of acceptance has improved as a consequence of a more broad minded media who will include the trans community in productions such as Back Roads. It all helps to ‘normalise’ both our participation and capacity to actively contribute to society: and that’s a good thing. Of course none of this would be possible without the courage of brave souls like Di and their partners who are prepared to quietly and unabashedly challenge some of the lingering orthodoxy in regard to perceptions of gender, relationships and how we should dress.
