There is a fair amount of regrowth happening in a week since the last treatment session but at least its kind of a whispy sort of hair thats light in colour so its really annoying that is doesnt seem to be slowing down but there still is plenty of it. But I realise its only been 3 goes….

So what I’d like to know now is for those of you who’ve undergone electrolysis, what did you find with amount of treatments that you required? what sort of regrowth between treatments, did the fact that you were/werent taking any hormones type of products play any part in the amount of treatments that you required or the effectiveness of those treatments?

After two treatments so far I see that while there is regrowth, its slowed down dramatically and what hair I have has been turned either grey or blonde (I havent studied it that closely, its a very light colour either way) so that has enabled me to be able to leave it and not shave it for two weeks with the sessions being every week so far.
Eventually I guess I’ll have to shave it for work but hopefully that wont be for a while.
I cant sustain paying for this for too long but will give it a fair go

So it seems I’m likely to end up spending a lot more money, experiencing a lot more pain and it will more than likely drag on (knowing my luck) for months, if not years.

I’ll give it a fair go and then see where I stand

I ended up going to see Sima today and what started out as just a case of finding out where it is and what is involved, became having a go at electrolysis and now I know how painful it is (and I found it very painful)
It is not pleasant by any means but at this stage, I just see myself just gritting my teeth and putting up with the pain.
Sima is lovely, we had a nice chat and I did end up telling her about how I found out about her place (thanks Bambi).
If its something that can lead to a definate ending timeframe, then it will be money well spent. I havent been able to see an end in sight across the various laser options that I’ve tried.
    See what happens I guess

    Thankyou for your replies.
The laser sessions that I have at the moment take about 10-15 mins to do so it works out to about $10 per minute so I’ll take $2.50.
I realise that pain is subjective so I guess the only way to find out how it would affect me is to give it a go.
Since starting laser (the first two were IPL), I have noticed a lot of grey hairs coming through on my chin and neck but that might have occured on its own anyway had I not started these treatments.

Wow Loretta, that sounds like a nightmare.
I thought that some of the experiences with sales assistants that I’ve had were bad and I’ve been tempted to tell them to “mind their own business”, I wonder what made that assistant think that a man shopping for womens stuff warranted a call to the police?
I wonder if her ignorance is limited to gender or would she be equally bigoted against race, age, height, weight etc

I’ve occasionally looked back at my earlier posts and it can be interesting to see what I posted when I started and how it may or may not contrast with what I’m going through now and you never know what you may learn from earlier posts too

I tried something different today, instead of getting my eyebrows waxed (as I had done several times now), I tried “threading”.
I didnt really know that much about the procedure but I did see it offered in america earlier this year and thought I’d give it a go as the place that does it is about a 1 minute walk from my place and it cost the same as waxing at that place.
It will be interesting to see the results

thanks Virginia but large cap sized wigs arent big enough. The website (with actual stores in america) where I bought my existing wigs from, they apparantly got those style wigs made in the largest size possible and that’s pretty much what I need.
So other than the very limited selection on there, I dont know what else to do other than a custom made one but then again as melissa only comes out to play on very limited occasions these days, I dont want to fork out $500 (or thereabouts) on one wig

I was actually able to find a blouse that the girls wore to our school at an opshop many years ago that fit my perfectly and teamed it with a basic black pleated skirt which was the sports uniform at the time.
The uniform had been changed within a few years of me leaving high school so I’m sure its been changed many times since then

That’s great Bonnie. When you find someone to share your girl side with, it is very liberating and enjoyable. Have fun with it and I hope it works out for you

Felicity, I work at Brisbane Airport and for flying domestically, you can check in at a kiosk and dont have to worry about staff. As for security (I’m a passenger screener), for domestic flights we dont care how someone is dressed, so long as they arent breaking any rules and carrying anything that they shouldnt like a knife etc (and we see plenty of those). If you limit your metal (like jewellery) if travelling in girl mode on domestic flights, you’ll lessen the possibility of getting any hassles but even if you are stopped, nothing that bad will happen

  • I’d love to attend but as well as working most weekends, those coming from interstate, it will take a lot more working out how to get to Katoomba and back.

Actually the date I have provisionally chosen (1st may) is a long weekend I think north of the border?? If so i expect to be swamped by Queensland girls who want to find out how T-life survives at under 20 degrees!

I’ve now had 7 sessions of ELOS, trying that instead of IPL on my moustache area and I noticed a little bit of reduction (and I do mean little) after the first go but nothing really since so I guess its time for plan C
