You’re absolutely right Emma. Bye the way, I think the ‘Great’ has been dropped, if it aint’, it ought to be.

At the risk of being dispatched to the ‘Tower’ and possibly sentenced to being beheaded for such a treasonabe statement; ‘The Merry Wives Of Windsor’. Still their anttics keep the ‘Women’s Weekly’ thriving. Oh! not forgetting Brexit. I’m a little more than surprised Britain has not been invaded by their European neighbours perhaps knocking some seemingly lacking common sense into their lack lustre brains.

    Adrian,
That’s the whole essence of taking estrogen, the effects on the mind, peace and tranquillity.

This was written by, in my view the unlikely Ruth Rendall, just goes to show, The author is, it may be said, versatile.

    Hi Caroline
What jumps out to me is the obviousl and normal similarities when soaking up the dreaded HRT. So far, I haven’t experienced any nasties, but, like you have enjoyed a kind of blissful comfort and happiness. I suppose I definitely feel more feminine if that’s possible. The skin, so I’m told is softer, my strength weaker, my wrinkles just as deep and aging. I reiterate that the estrogen pills ought to have been prescribed years ago. What took so long? fear, fear of change, fear of loss or losses. I’m due to a regular consultation with my friendly obstetrician/gyncologist in a couple of week. My health has continued to improve, all round. Going full time? May the Force be with you.’

I considered this little procedure some years ago as a relativelysimple alternative to the dreaded HRT, however I think you would still need to be on a low dose HRT to combat sweats and other nasties.. (quoted by a shrink). O squeezed my thighs together and embarked on full HRT.

Hi Adrian, Indeed, what a positive outcome instigated by you, but then why am I not too surprised? You consider the feelings of all others around you, yes, the ladies in the female change rooms do need consideration for their needs and privacy, as do the men. Seeking a genuine and humble solution is to be admired, hence the fantastic results. Consider everyone else and you’ll be admired and helped. Perhaps the gym manager is someone special.

  • A minefield it is. I’m pondering a suitable and appropriate reply, however my 81 year old mind is neither quick thinking as once was. Watch this space.

    Hi Caroline
Hurdles my foot, sounds more like the old Berlin Wall. Yes, I had to undergo the usual tests etc. however I must have looked bewildered and forlorn taking pity on the old bugger. I’m thoroughly interested in your experience of outcomes and if appropriate how HRT has affected you. Don’t give up just yet; I await with baited breath.

    Hi Steph,

A ship Doctor visit will set you back $200. No Medicare as all ships Doctors are from foreign lands.
Power boards etc. Leave them at home, Princess Cruises have Yank plug sockets (120 volts) for those who cannot under any circumstances resist their ‘devices’ Oh dear! Cruising is about relaxation, socialization, drinking copious amounts of expensive alcohol and the scenery, ‘ocean’ and more ocean.

Seasick pills are essential, yes, there is a shop on board which sells such comodoties, eg forgotten toothpaste etc. Happy cruising ladies. Ps I’m back on board ‘Majestic Princess’ in September travelling to the northern bits of Australia, our fifth boring cruise.

It must be something in the atmosphere or the water that sends our brains into thinking of possible alternatives to Katoomba as a venue for hosting wild and uncaring weekends hellbent on making hay whilst the sun shines. I was, last week in that delightful town of Bowral in the Southern Highlands, trying to escape the incessant heat of Canberra. We stayed at the Berida Hotel, a hotel of the Carrington vintage, even the door frames were identical to Carrington’s. There were nooks and crannies everywhere, usually designed for the discerning introvert who like to hide and read in secluded spots; a lovely spot, similar to heaven. The hotel even boasted a large (1/2 Olympic) swimming pool, needing a little TLC, all in all, a taste of absolute bliss. Would this be suitable for a more trimmed Transformal? I thought and considered. HRH, bless her heart said it was too small and only suitable for a Transformal of total introverts. Suit me, but then at parties should I choose to attend, I make better friendships with either the cat or, at a pinch, the dog. Oh well, there’s always the Seahorse Ball in August should the organising come to fruition

I think you’ll find on the instructions, ‘Do not double up on patches’ My guess is double patches does not necessarily mean a double dose. Good luck.

Patches? residue? I never really bothered as I was more concerned with skin irritations which caused discontinued usage. I wore the residue like a badge of honour. Have ben on pills for six months, but that’s another story.
