I agree with Liz, an update in time for Transformal would be great. I’m always a sucker for surveys. It goes back to my early training and first few jobs. Given that background I suppose I’d better offer to help if you want me.

Hi Sylvia,
If you have a Clarksons Rubber, Spotlight or Lyncraft , or for that matter any haberdashery shop nearby, you can get foam or padding inserts respectively from those out lets. In answer to your question though, I have no idea if your suggestion will work.
Best wishes

I’ve just watched an episode of Q&A on ABC. One panellist was Group Captain Catherine McGregor,RAAF Reserve, speech writer for Head of Air Force.
It looks like our Cate has survived the moving on of the Head of Army and continues to be a great role model and spokesperson for TG people. -

Tim is superb – sent a good friend around there recently, who came out really impressed with his advice – hair totally “hit the spot”.

Yes Glenda it can get a little messy but the more you use it the easier it is to apply & less messier. Just remember to seal your lashes off with the gel after finishing with the fibers.

I really ought to go to Sparkle sometime. I was born and bred in Greater Manchester but packed my bags in 1970 and came to Australia. There was nothing like Sparkle back then. UK friends can only say good things about it. Unlike most TG conventions it seems to be spread out over multiple venues.

At Glebe last Friday I mentioned the Gay Rugby World Cup and how an organiser had mentioned LGBT in an aside in a story on TV that was essentially about tough gay men. I thought it was an example of Adrian’s tipping point thesis (that TG is becoming more “normal” to mainstream Australia). The very next morning I read the article that is at the top of this thread and realised the organiser wasn’t just being casual when he mentioned the T but had one of his players in mind. It’s still a good story though.

And this is where the disgusting misnomer of “passing” stems from. Once you dig deep enough within yourself to find total acceptance without shame, guilt or blame; what else or who else matters.

I’ve had almost 100% positive reactions from shop assistants when asking for help. The one exception was in a charity shop as I looked for a denim skirt. An elderly volunteer told me I was in the ladies section and the men’s room was through that door. I thanked her and said I might look there later. When I’d chosen the skirt I wanted and went to pay she looked at me as though I was something the cat had dragged in.
Never mind I never went back there and one in over a hundred isn’t too hard to handle.
