Downloaded the Word doc file, and whilst I can open the file in OpenOffice.org 3.1, can click on the Input Fields and enter text in popup windows, and save the resulting file successfully. Entering the text does not visibly alter the Input Field.

Problem with the doc file version of the form:
Missing field: Number of People has no Input Field.

Problem with both versions of the form:
For anyone wanting to arrive before May 18 or stay after May 19, you’re going to have to contact the Carrington anyway, to get the rates and make a booking, as the form is only for May 18 and 19.

CIS is that an anogram, abbreviation, slang, pidgin or Swahili ?

    It’s a medical abbreviation.
Working from memory, it’s Congential Intersex Syndrome.

That isn’t to say that it is wrong, or unacceptable to want to pass..but perhaps it would be more sensitive not to assume that all TgR members in the forums or chat room want to be classified and accepted as being a binary woman.

Amanda, that last sentence is an almost accurate summary of the issue of passing for transgender as a whole.

  • I hope this series gets shown on one of the FTA television networks here, without being butchered.

With the transcript, where would it be posted on TgR?
Will we need a new forum section for these discussions?

I don’t imagine the transcript being for discussion in a forum sense. So any read only forum area will do – presumably in the same place as we advertise the upcoming schedule of seminars??????

    Yeah, that’d work.
    :)
I was just thinking on where would TgR mebers go on the forum to view the transcript, when I realised that it had not, yet, been discussed.

I continue to support the concept while understanding the need for a “Interest Factor” the discussion re links is more technical than I fully understand however the “flicca” concept sounds reasonable.
The more that TGR can “Value add” to our members (some of whom are quite isolated by many factors) the better the community support is.

I’d actually prefer Google Picassa for pics hosting and storage rather than Yahoo Flickr, since TgR already uses Picassa as the formal location for pics of its events.

Christina, can you recall if Hugh made mention of this in his radio interview?

It’s far to busy and confusing.

    Thanks for that critique, Jansatin.

With the faces in the graphic, I could not see any way to fit the map in, except as a large background.

Amanda, do you have a version of the TgR landing page graphic without the faces?

Looking at the TransGender Radio landing page graphic, I felt it was missing something, a map of Australia and New Zealand
I decided to have a try at fixing that lack.

Thank you for an absolutely flawless description of the problem, Christina.
It’s this, which aids; abets; and permits active discrimination against us to stand in Law.

In the current TGR logo that OzJoanne came up with, you lose the TG symbol against the background and TGR text.
The radio tower design looks good, but I’m wondering how it would look with black background and the gold TGR text.

One important thing with buying shoes is finding which manufacturers make shoes in a wide fitting. There isn’t a lot of point in looking for places that carry the right length, if the styles they carry are made for the typical a/b width.
Generally I wind up buying Homy Peds from a local chemist, as the majority of their styles go up to size 11 in length and a lot of their styles are made for a C+ width.

Thanks for that Bambi and Portia.
When I read the article posted by Bambi, all I could see was more rights for gays, in Brazil and not Australia, and could not see how such could apply to trans in Brazil, much less here.
